Jayadayal Goyandka

Jayadayal Goindka was born into the family of Shri Khabhachandra Agarwal on Jyeshtha Krishna 6, Samvat 1942 (1885) in Churu, Rajasthan. His early exposure to the Gita and Ramcharitmanas had a profound impact on him, and he decided to dedicate his life to preaching after extensively studying religious texts.

His discourses on the Gita were so influential that thousands of people attended his satsangs. However, during the "Gita-Prachar" campaign, he noticed that it was challenging to obtain a pure copy of the Gita. Therefore, in 1923, he founded the Gita Press in Gorakhpur with the objective of publishing the Gita in its purest form.

He passed away on April 17, 1965, on the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh.
