Krishna Sobti

A well-known Indian novelist and writer in the Hindi language was Krishna Sobti (1925–2019). One of the most prominent authors in Hindi literature, Krishna Sobti is renowned for her audacious and creative writing.

Novels like "Mitro Marjani" (To Hell with You, Mitro), "Zindaginama" (The Saga of Life), and "Samay Sargam" (Time's Symphony) are a few of her best-known works. Her writing exhibits a singular fusion of reality and inventiveness, fusing everyday speech with beautiful prose.

The contributions of Krishna Sobti to Hindi literature have received widespread acclaim. She received a number of honours, including the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1980 for her book "Zindaginama" and the Jnanpith Award, one of India's top literary honours, in 2017.
