Book Description
Preface
This Book on Samskars, particularly Sixteen Samskars, was planed originally by Shri Ram Avtar Gupta, Chairman of Pustak Mahal.

It is a great service to human being, specially the modern Indians, and a laudable effort to bring forth the most essential things in life in order to create a cultured and refined society he is doing with is Hindoology Books.

If man becomes sensitive enough to realize the value of being cultured as human being by not simply changing dress, language, formal behaviour and amenities but by becoming religious, spiritual and diligent and by leading a life free from fears and inhibitions then all the honest and sincere efforts of the Chairman and the author will be amply rewarded.

In this book, you will find all the Samskars as I have left nothing out. In other words, I have incorporated everything related to Samskars that I have ever heard of or read about. I have incorporated the ways and means of performing all such Samskars and of worshipping various gods and goddesses in a separate section. It is the most essential part of the Samskars. Without the Poojan Vidhi the book would have been incomplete.

Nowadays, people are not aware of the Samskars. They are only living Artha (wealth) and Kama (desire). So, they are unhappy, depressed and live under fear. Only the Samskars will make them live a complete and blissful life by including Dharma (righteousness) and Moksha (liberation) in their life. The Samskars can chart the path and give them inner strength to follow the path of righteousness that will eventually lead a man to bliss and beatitude.

Only a has been taken from scriptural transliteration for long ‘a’ sound which is otherwise impossible to write in the Roman script. Everything else is written in the same ways as given in government papers, magazines, newspapers and general books. Most of the longer compound words have been separated in shorter simple words. It will help the readers to read the Mantras and Shlokas quoted in the book.

Back of The Book
Samskars make living easier, better and fuller, if performed as they should, with right earnestness. Lord Sri Krishna declared in the Gita: “That person easily succeeds in both the physical and spiritual realm (worlds) whose Samskars have been duly completed and that has achieved control senses”.

The book ‘16 Hindu Samskars’ incorporates all the Samskars that make a person refined and cultured, to grow from inside and to enable one to lead a pious, complete, healthy, happy, pleasant and prosperous life. If all the Samskars are performed and the patterns and rules obeyed than life of a person would be worth citizen able to make the earth a better place for all living beings and to ensure continuity of life.

Read ’16 Hindu Samskars’, learn about them and be ‘Samskari’.
