Introduction This catalogue contains brief descriptions of over 1300 manuscripts collected for the Vrindaban Research Institute since its foundation until 1974. The order in which the particulars are arranged in an follows: serial number (the prefixed letter B denotes material in the Bengali language, irrespective of script), accession date and number, provenance (abbreviated as R-D., PMD., etc), number and size of folios, condition, i.e. complete or incomplete, script and date. The name of the scribe and the place where the copy was nade are mentioned if available. These details are followed by the title of the work and the name of its author. In every case, the manuscripts are of hand-made paper.
