He is also the only Sarod player to attempt a full – fledged adaptation of Vilayat Khan’s Sitar style on to his Sarod, considered a matter of great technical difficulty. He has contributed to the process of assimilating the khayal vocal style into Sarod’s expressive range by helping modify the instrument and has reentyl invented and patented an electric Sarod, the first instrument of its kind.
