The temples at Khajuraho were built during the Chandela dynasty, between 950 and 1050. Only about 20 temples remains; they fall into three distinct groups and belong to two different religions -Hinduism and Jainism. They strike a perfect balance between architecture and sculpture. The music is a beautiful canvas of World Music, which draws from both the history and the myth behind the temples, which also believed to be the reason behind the construction of these masterpieces.
