About the Book This book deals Hindu Chemistry in a detailed manner. It starts with the Age of Nagarjuna and Buddhist Alchemical Tantras. How Buddhist Alchemical Tantras absorbed into Hindu Tantras has been discussed. Iatro-chemical period (c. 1350 A.D.) covers various topics such as Rasasara, Dhaturatnamälä, etc. Modern period (1500-1600 A.D.) talks about Rasadipa, Rasakaumudi, Arkaprakasa, etc. Indigenous origin of Indian Alchemy is also an important topic in the book. The Tantric period in the book covers a large number of topics. Knowledge of gems also found place in the book. The Sankhya-Patanjala system, chemistry in the medical schools of Ancient India, the Nyaya-Vaisesika chemical theory, con ception of Molecular motion have also been discussed in detail.
