Omi Khurana’s (Kunal Kapoor) London dream ends with him having to escape from a dangerous UK gangster who he owes money to.
He returns to his native village in Punjab, pretending to be a well-heeled London lawyer. Omi’s grandfather Darji is now not just ailing and senile but has also forgotten the secret reciple of ‘Chicken Khurana’, the dish that made his dhaba famous across Punjab. Harman (Huma Qureshi), Omi’s childhood sweetheart is now a doctor and is soon to be married to Omi’s cousin Jeet, who doesn’t seem too happy about it.
Adding to the quirkiness of the Khurana family is Titu Mama, the free loader uncle, who once did a stint at a mental asylum. Will Omi be able to cover his deceit and lies as he tries to recover the lost recipe of “Chicken Khurana” –the family’s only hope to reclaim their pride and wealth?
