This book attempts to lay bare such experiences of the two authors which can be said to border on the paranormal. Paranormal as a category of understanding is highly subjective and depends on the perspective of the reader as much as that of the author. This book does not attempt to validate the existence of paranormal. Rather it tries to show the authors' perspectives on certain events which seemed deviant to them. The later part of the book validates this subjective approach even further and presents two essays. The first one talks about the technique of reading a paranormal text while the second tries to show the role of anecdotes and folklores in developing the haunted status of a few historical locales in Kolkata.
