About The Author

Shri Rajeshwar ji was born on February 25, 1916 at Jalalpur Kikna, Dist. Jhelum (Now in Pakistan). He hails from the illustrious family of Saba Kali Kamli Wale (Rishikesh), who happens to be the elder brother of Shri Rajeshwar's grandfather. In 1928, his family shifted to Delhi. In 1936, he graduated in science from Hindu college and stood first in the college. After securing fourth position in the all-India competition, he took up government services. Married in 1941, his was an ideal life with wife Smt. Chandrakanta totally dedicated to his ideals. He resigned from government service in the year 1946 and joined Edwerd Keventers (P) Ltd. as General Manager. When Seth Ramkrishna Dalmia took over as the owner of this concern, Shri Rajeshwar ji, on account of his administrative skills and result orientea performances, became the Executive Director of 13 public undertakings and private limited companies of the Dalmia Group.

Social Environment:- Shri Rajeshwar ji was very much influenced by the thoughts of well-known and learned Aryasamaji Pt. Ramchandra Dehalvi and Shri Buddh Dev Vidyalankar (Swami Samarpananand) who were known for their reasoning. All this inspired him to work for Hindu Dharma and he resolved to work for persons who had been converted to other religions and tried to bring them back to their original Hindu faith through "Paravartan" ("Shuddhikaran"). With an aim to make Paravartan a mass movement, he came in contact with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

He was president of the Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad from 1972 to 1993. Since 1971 to his last breath, he served the VHP as its trustee and had also been the Vibhag Sanghchalak of the RSS, South Delhi unit since 1981. His dedicated effort on Paravartan made the VHP take this up as one of the major issues and appointed Shri Rajeshwar president of this project. When the RSS in 1996 also adopted the paravartan project, he said his goal had been realised. When he was a first year student in 1933, he started the Paravartan project and given his sound financial status, he appointed four pracharaks for assistance. With his diligent work hundreds of converted Muslims and Christians were brought back to their original Hindu fold. In the year 1991, Shri Rajeshwar ji established the 'Chandrakanta Rajeshwar Dharmarth trust' of his own property so that his goal may be pursued even after his death.

He left for his heavenly abode on February 11, 1999.



Seven years ago, when I was Sah-Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsavak Sangh (RSS), the first edition of this book was published and I had written a few words about it. Later on, the author felt that some new information and facts needed to be included in its second edition. He toiled day and night to give a new shape to the book but on its completion when the book was ready to go to the press for publication, it was very sad that respected Shri Raj Eshwar Ji remained no more with us.

At an early age when one is normally busy with his studies and future plans, Raj Eshwar ji started the work of Paravartan (i.e. bringing the converts back to the Hindu fold) and continued it till his last breath. For this noble work he did not feel any necessity of exerting physical force. He was a Trustee of the vishwa Hindu Pariched (VHP) and President of lndraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Vibhag Sanghchalak of the RSS's South Delhi Zone. In this book he has detailed excerpts from various books, scriptures and newspapers in support of his contentions & ideas.

Our goal is to take 'Bharat' to its 'Pararn Vaibhav'. It is only possible if the organised Hindu Shakti brings social transformation, and the work of Paravartan will be effectively helpful to achieve this goal. If the percentage of Hindus goes on declining in the present manner, another partition of Bharat is inevitable in not too far off time. Untouchability among Hindus must be eradicated as early as possible. According to Pujya Bala Saheb Deoras-"If untouchability is not a sin then there is no sin at all in the world. Caste based on birth is now outdated."

Poojaniya Shri Guru Ji had invited "Muslim Community", on the occasion of his 51 st birth anniversary celebrations, to rejoin the natural main stream saying that after achieving political freedom, the Muslims of lndia may also wish to feel freed religiously as well and if they want to come back to their ancestral Dharma, the Hindus will welcome them with open arms. After all 98 percent Muslims in India are direct converts from Hindu Dharma.

In the Fifth chapter of this book some excerpts have been taken from sacred books to prove that untouchability is not at all a part of Hindu Dharma. It has been rightly suggested in the book that to give a lead to the society, upshakhas of RSS should regularly organise all-caste sahbhoj karyakrams on a large scale, so that untouchability may be eradicated very soon. It is also very much necessary to weed out other prevailing evils as well as to reform the society so that our society emerges more united, strong and dynamic.

The discriminating readers, who had read the first edition of this book, will, on reading this second edition, also benefit as it includes added information & facts on a number of points. All should join in the efforts to popularise the book as widely as possible.
