Datia, a tiny town of Madhya Pradesh is situated between Jhansi and Gwalior on central Railway. An idol of Vankhandeshwar Mahadev (Shivling) is situated in the center of this Peeth. It is believed that one of the heroes of Mahabharata known as Ashwatthama still regularly visit this place for worship. It proves that this Vankhandeshwar Mahadev has its origin during Mahabharata times.
The Rev. Master established this Peeth in the year 1935 where Bhagwati Peetambara known as Baglamukhi among the great cosmic powers, which is Omni present. Swamiji has pursued his academic from Kashi Vidhyapeet, Kashi, where Swamiji has mastered many Grantha and has taken Sanyas there only. Swamiji has great knowledge of Sanskrit, Pali, English, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, Bengali, Marathi. Punjabi, Gujarati etc. and Shastriya Sangeet. Swamiji used to do Jaap 18 hour at a stretch which has motivated many sadhak (worshipper).
