Introduction
The series of talks on "Marks of Spiritual Progress" is meant to be a compass to check whether you are making progress. This is one step. Then read Sadhana in Applied Spirituality, in which I have given some practical suggestions on your thought patterns, which result in a change in your communication patterns, which result in a change in your relational patterns, not only in the family but also in the workplace. You may also refer to many talks over the years on Kundalini and the Chakras. You can study this subject through the book, Kundalini: Stilled or Stirred? Ultimately, this will prepare the groundwork to benefit from reading Swami Rama's book: The Art of Joyful Living. You should read it over and over and see if you are truly applying the principles that Swami Rama so generously, so lovingly, so beautifully and so effectively presented to us. And I would like these to be your study, your contemplation, your discussion and especially your application over the next years of your life. In order for the Initiates to remain true to their sadhana. it is essential that they keep a journal of spiritual progress. I would like to advise that everyone undertake this as a project for a year. The project is to thoroughly read Signs of Spiritual Progress. Take personal notes of all "signs" and write them down. Check and see if your own personal thoughts, words, acts, communications, relationships, in personal life and relationships in professional life and in social life, and in your spiritual community reflect your spiritual success. To what degree do your actions conform and what remains to be accomplished? When this is done collectively by all initiates, it will insure the Community of Initiates continues long after (Swami Veda Bharati) is called away to the Worlds of Light.
