About The Book
The leelas of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in His childhood, the Activities, Mahimas, his kindness for His devotees, His enchanting ways with the devotees, in short, all daily routine of Bhagawan is reminiscent of Sri Krishna's leelas in "Repalle". The author Ms. N. Lakshmidevamma in this interesting and instructive book "Sri Sathya Sai the Divine Guardian" narrates some of the details of her own experiences and those of other devotee friends during the early years of Baba, including women's education and establishment of Sri Sathya Sai Women's college at Anantapur. The Publications Division of Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Trust gladly presents this book of rare experiences of the author and the other devotees with Bhagawan in early years for their uplift in spiritual progress.

The uplifting miracle of a person from one elevated position to another one in a progressive fashion can be made possible only by God. It is beyond the reach of others even as a thought. Prasanthi Nilayam of those days can be thought of as "Repalle". The elders say that Puttaparthi had an earlier name of "Gollapalle". Today it has gradually evolved as Dwaraka Nagaram. The deeds in His childhood, the activities, lilas, Mahimas, His fondness for devotees, His enchanting ways with the devotees; in short, all the daily routine of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu is a replica of Sri Krishna's lilas in "Repalle". In this book, I have ventured to inform the kind readers, after seeking the blessings of the most compassionate Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba varu, the Bhaktavatsala, some of the details of my own experiences, and those of other devotee friends during the early years of Baba väru. The people of today, who are witnessing and experiencing the great benefits of the superhuman works of Swami and listening to His divine discourses, in the nature of Gita teachings of Dwaraka Krishna may learn with happiness, and understand the conditions prior to the formation of Prasanthi Nilayam, the situation in the early formative period and the fascinating and alluring lilas of Baba Sathya Sai Krishna.
