Book Description
About the Book

In this booklet an attempt has been made to throw light on Mehroom's art and personality. At the place where Mehroom was born, there was neither literature nor any man of letters. There was neither academic gatherings, nor was there any guide. Even a newspaper was not available. There was scarcity of clean water, and storms used to rage. Mehroom had developed interest in poetry right from his childhood. He spent all his life in teaching and learning. He attempted every form of poetry. Art critics like Niaz Fatehpuri, Iqbal, Firaq, Kaifi, Josh Maleehabadi, Josh Malsiani and Ejaz Hussain have admired his poetry.

Ram Lal Nabhvi was born in Nabha on 16th September 1918. He received education upto matriculation and served as a government servant for 39 years. He wrote two books 'Tabassum' (Satire and humour) and 'Aam Ke Aam' (essay); received literary awards; wrote many articles and essays; translated novel "Pavittar Papi" into Urdu at the instance of Languages Department, Punjab; prepared a write-up on 'Chakbasť at the instance of Urdu Promotion Bureau, is writing a history of Urdu Literature, Punjab, for the Punjabi University, Patiala.
