Book Description

Preface

Present-day human beings are creating new types of clans and shaping new types of societies. The kinship structure in these new institutions is defined by WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or related digital networks. Such associations are the pathfinders for humanity today. Under the influence of this new setup, creativity is disappearing from human beings.

Diffidence is fast replacing confidence in this world. We need remedies to undo this damage. In the Vedas, which are one of the most beautiful legacies of the past, we can see many guidelines for ensuring creativity. All of these recommendations are relevant even today. It may not be easy to transform the ideas and bonds of the past into formats suitable for tackling present-day challenges. Nevertheless, if people can copy into their lives, some of the crucial ideas contained in the Vedas, Upanishads, and epics like the Mahabharata, they will be able to live and progress even in today's fast world, with a saintly mind that is at peace with everything, and is highly creative. Many modern-day youths have an opinion that Indian scientific ideas of the past need to be completely uprooted since they are not suitable for contemporary requirements. In this book, an attempt is being made to see how creativity can be bolstered by copying into life the unique line of thinking that runs through scriptures like the Vedas, Upanishads, Aranyakas, Darshanas, Brahmanas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata.

This book is divulging, for everybody's use, ancient Vedic secrets founded on optimism, leadership qualities, proper focus, and simple lifestyle. Of course, while exhorting people to accept the ideas of

the Vedas, the work is also emphasizing the need to incorporate present day ideas and lifestyle into it. The emphasis on the need to blend the old and the new in a balanced way can be seen in the Vedas itself. One example is the prayer 'may we not move too far from the humane and ancient paths of our ancestors'. (Rigveda 8.30.3) Another is the statement 'ancient men personalized new ideas. For light, they created luminescence that is similar to that of the sun'. (Rigveda 9.23.2)

Among the vast ocean of concepts in the Vedas, there are suggestions for tackling issues like anxiety, indecisiveness, lethargy, lack of creativity, and lack of financial prudence. Fear is one of the main diseases that steadily gnaws at man. Do you know what the antidote for fear prescribed by ancient healers is? Do you know about the importance of 'truth' in personality development? Social media networks, which are today's power centres and influence people's opinion both directly and indirectly, often spread wrong information that readers easily lap up. What should we do to avoid falling into that trap?

There are many western godmen who uphold the theory that the past and the future are a charade, and that we exist in the present only. A typical example of this is Eckhart Tolle, who produced the work 'Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment'. But this is no new knowledge. The entire 58th sukta of the 10th mandala of the Rig Veda, which consists of twelve mantras, is throughout exalting the importance of the present.

The aim of our ancient education system was the creation of individuals having noble and adorable qualities. And for that, they used the thunderbolt known as the Vedas. It is the magic of that thunderbolt that amazed the foreign invaders who attacked India and took away a lot of our wealth.
