Swami Vivekanand, one of modern India's most revered spiritual personalities, had a special relationship, both spiritual and inspirational, with the Himalayas, particularly in Uttarakhand. During the short span of his life he made several visits to the Himalayas. It was here through days of intense meditation that he attained self-realisation and deep understanding of the cosmos. It was also here that he had a vision of his life's calling.
In following the footsteps of Swami Vivekanand, the book takes us through his travels, the places associated with his memories, glimpses of his life and his extraordinary work and his evolution from an unknown Narendranath Dutt to Swami Vivekanand.
