Book Description

Introduction

the Concept Adhyatma is a concept in the timeless or eternal ancient Hindu Vedic philosophy and religion. The triad of Adhibhoutik Adhidaivik and Adhyatmik also is well known in that philosophy and religion. Adhyatma is loosely taken as something spiritual, ethereal, trans-mundane and transcendent consideration. First of all, we need to understand this concept on a very primary level. Human action or thought on the worldly plain is a combination of internal and external aspects, or subjective and objective aspects. Our endeavours, means and ends are constituted by 'Me' or 'I', 'Mine'and the world around us. Let us take a few examples :- 1] I will eat food. [Food is external and other than I] 2] I am reading a book. [Book is similarly external and other than I] 3] I am traveling. [The destination and the vehicle are external and other than 'I']. 4] I will earn money. [Money is other than. So far as our activities are concerned, there are three entities Subjective entity Objective entity - Instrumental entity Observations will indicate and testify that there will be at least one thing which is not us in these activities. There will be some instruments or objects or means. When we look for pleasure in life, there will be something external to us or other than us. That could be an object which gives delight etc to the 'I' which is the subjective entity. There has to be a foreign matter or agent to please our 'I'. Our dependence on something foreign or external to us is indispensable. An external component in our action or experience makes it non-adhyatmik. Thus the essential nature of Adhyatma is that there must be no component in our action that is external to us. The Adhyatmik action is composed by all that is intrinsically ours. Music, the divine art is said to provide Adhyatmik sadhana which is not inherently ourselves, will not be Adhyatmik. If one by innocent commoners. If music depends upon an instrument, depends on a musical instrument, amplifiers, acclaim, it will not be Adhyatmik. Essential and authentic yoga is profoundly and profusely Adhyatmik. The doer, doing, done is inherently within our self. The knower, known and knowing are within us. The subject, object and instrument are similarly within us. Yoga is richly Adhyatmik because everything is in the embodiment, of the embodiment, with the embodiment, on the embodiment and by the embodiment. This is the most important feature of Adhyatma best constituted in yogik endeavour. Those who have Adhyatmik mind are internalised. It is called अन्तर्मुखी They are in the habit of analysing and assessing their Drive - Motive - Motion - Execution - Purpose Means Ends Subjective participant Subjective recipient - Subjective instrument One is one's own subjective investigative agency which is very, very objective and unbiased. In Adhyatma there are mutual subserviencies between aspects of embodiment such as Body Mind Breath Senses Organs Conscience Consciousness - Psyche etc. etc. etc. There will be no external interference. These constituents will mutually subserve and get subserved......This is Adhyatmik.
