This Lattice Design Table Decor (pair) is an output of the concept of assemblage. Assemblage is a form of art practiced by famous artists like Marcel Duchamp. During an exhibition, Marcel displayed items as sculptures, including a urinal, a bottle-drying rack, and a snow shovel. To make artwork, artists also sew materials and find things together. Here in this assemblage, there are two sieves, one with dot perforation and the other with line perforation, painted in a brown patina tint. They are set on an iron stand with an iron rod connected. This is the kind of new-age art that makes us think about ordinary items in novel and unexpected ways, making viewers wonder about their place in the universe.
