Kalamkari is an ancient style hand painted or block printed art form done on cotton or silk textiles with the help of tamarind twigs as pen using natural dyes; originated in Andhra Pradesh having distinctive styles of intricate detailed patterns having characteristic uniform off white colors. Superbly ornamented in beauteous jewels with a multi-layered haloed crown veiled by awe-struck zarkans and a peacock feather at the top; framed in floral borders in antique colors and ethnic patterns with her long hairs flowing downwards, this painting depicts true values of picturesque.
