This brass turtle or Kurma is also known as Kachua in its native language. It is used in Feng Shui and Vaastu to stabilize the energies of a space. The turtle derives its significance from the legend of Samudra Manthan where Lord Vishnu took the Kurma Avatar to balance the Mount Mandara and helped with the churning of the sea which eventually yielded many useful objects to the Gods and Goddesses and helped maintain the balance. The brass turtle is thus a symbol of balance. The tortoise's form represents longevity and protection, which is consistent with Vaastu concepts that aim to create a harmonious and auspicious living or working environment. It is an important component of Vaastu Shastra for increasing well-being and equilibrium.

Symbol of Stability and Cosmic Order

This exquisite brass Kurma, or turtle, gilded with a lustrous gold plating, is more than just a decorative piece; it is a potent symbol steeped in rich cultural and mythological significance. In Hindu traditions, the turtle, Kurma, is revered as the second avatar of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. This divine form played a pivotal role in the Samudra Manthan, the epic churning of the cosmic ocean to extract the nectar of immortality (amrita). Lord Vishnu, in his Kurma form, bore the Mount Mandara on his back, steadying it as the gods and demons churned, thus enabling the creation of the universe and its bountiful treasures.

Embodying Grounded Strength

The enduring strength and unwavering stability of the turtle make it a powerful emblem of endurance, longevity, and groundedness. Its ability to withdraw into its shell signifies protection, introspection, and a deep connection to the earth. This small, yet significant, Kurma statue serves as a constant reminder of these virtues. Whether placed on an altar for puja, adorning a meditation space, or gracing a bookshelf, it imbues the environment with a sense of calm, resilience, and spiritual grounding. The intricate detailing on its shell, brought to life by the gleaming gold plating, reflects the ancient artistry and the profound reverence associated with this sacred creature.

A Touch of Sacredness for Your Space

Crafted from durable brass and finished with a radiant gold plating, this Kurma statue is designed to be a cherished item for years to come. Its compact size makes it versatile for various settings, bringing a touch of sacredness and positive energy to any corner of your home or office. It is an ideal item for ritualistic practices, contributing to a focused and devotional atmosphere. Beyond its ritualistic applications, it serves as a beautiful statement piece, reflecting a discerning taste for art that carries a deeper meaning and a connection to ancient wisdom. This Kurma invites contemplation and a sense of connection to the cosmic dance of creation and preservation.
