Ganesha is the Lord of wisdom as well as the demigod of sagacity and foresight as mentioned in our holy Puranas. He has an elephant headed form with four hands (chaturbhuja rupa) and a big stomach provides us a lesson to become attentive and progressive towards the goals of our lives.

Along with all of his attributes, Shri Ganesha resides on a divine throne (royal chowki) placed over the creativity illustrated legs as well as attached with a beautiful umbrella (parasol) which is elaborating the look of the deity as the chatra is hanging just above his head with ghunghroos that hang in freedom and music. This majestic and superbly crafted composition is well adorned with alluring and astonishing shringara.

Handcrafted in India, this piece is more than just a decorative item; it is a conduit for blessings and a symbol of overcoming obstacles. Lord Ganesha, the beloved elephant-headed deity, is revered as the Remover of Obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences, and the intellect. His worship is traditionally invoked at the commencement of any new venture, prayer, or ritual, ensuring success and prosperity. The serene depiction of Ganesha seated on a royal chowki, a traditional raised platform, signifies his regal stature and the reverence he commands. The intricate detailing throughout the statue speaks to the skill of the artisans who have poured their dedication into its creation. Symbolism and Divine Attributes

This statue captures several key attributes of Lord Ganesha. In one hand, he holds a parashu, or axe, representing his power to sever attachments and overcome negative forces. In another hand, he blesses with abhaya mudra, a gesture of fearlessness and protection, assuring devotees of his safeguarding grace. His mouse companion, Mooshika, symbolizes humility and control over desires, always by his side to carry him swiftly through obstacles. The elaborate parasol, adorned with tiny bells, is a striking addition. Such canopies often signify honor and royalty. In some traditions, the tinkling of bells is believed to awaken the senses, ward off evil spirits, and create a sacred ambiance. This detail adds a layer of visual and symbolic richness, enhancing the overall aura of divine majesty surrounding Ganesha. The sturdy brass construction ensures the longevity and enduring beauty of this sacred representation, making it a timeless piece for any spiritual space or discerning collection. ––––––––––––––––––––

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
