Chaturbhujadhari, tribhanga murari. The most ardently loved of the Vishnuavataras. The irresistibly handsome cowherd from Vrindavan, who bewitched the innocent hearts of young milkmaids and cows alike. A tall murti that captures the glamour of His worldly leela.

Sculpted from pure brass the colour of resplendent gold. Tall, slender silhouette; not unlike the flute pressed to His lips. Harmony and compassion writ large on the divine countenance. Framed by a Kirtimukham crown and laterally extending sprigs of vine and, of course, a halo.

Fishtail sashes cascading down curvaceous hips. The tips graze the pistil of the upturned lotus, forming two out of the four tiers of the high plinth upon which stands divinity. Every aspect of this Krishna murti has been imbued with a great deal of aesthetic detail.

Embrace Divine Harmony with Lord Krishna's Enchanting Form

This exquisite brass statue captures the very essence of Lord Krishna, one of the most beloved deities in the Hindu pantheon and a revered avatar of Lord Vishnu. Crafted with meticulous detail and exceptional artistry, this magnificent piece stands as a testament to the enduring traditions of Indian craftsmanship. The lustrous brass, polished to a brilliant sheen, reflects the divine radiance of Krishna as he plays his enchanting flute, drawing all beings into a state of blissful harmony.

A Melodious Messenger of the Divine

The posture of Lord Krishna, with his tribhanga (three-bend) stance, is dynamic and graceful, embodying a captivating rhythm that resonates with the spiritual energy of the universe. His fingers are delicately poised on the flute, as if coaxing the most soul-stirring melodies from its depths. Legend has it that Krishna's flute music could captivate all of creation, from the gopis (cowherd girls) in Vrindavan to the very elements of nature. This statue brings that celestial music into your space, inviting peace and spiritual introspection. In his left hand, he holds a conch shell, the Panchajanya, a symbol of cosmic sound and victory, further emphasizing his divine power as Vishnu.

The Embodiment of Cosmic Grace

As an avatar of Vishnu, Lord Krishna represents the preserver and protector of the universe. This statue, rendered in solid brass, exudes a timeless aura of power and benevolence. The intricate ornamentation adorning Krishna's form – the elaborate crown, the divine jewelry, and the flowing dhoti – speaks of his regal status and his omnipresence. The base itself is a masterpiece, intricately carved with traditional motifs that further enhance the divine grandeur of the deity. This statue is more than just an object of art; it is a conduit to the divine, a reminder of the cosmic dance of creation, preservation, and dissolution that defines existence.

A Legacy of Devotion and Artistry

The use of brass for this statue is deeply symbolic. Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, is associated with prosperity, auspiciousness, and the divine feminine energy. It is believed to ward off negative energies and attract positive vibrations, making this statue an ideal addition to any home or sacred space. The superfine detailing, from the gentle curve of his lips to the subtle expressions on his face, showcases the profound skill of the artisans who brought this divine form to life. This statue serves as a beautiful and enduring expression of devotion, a piece that will be cherished for generations, connecting you to the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of India.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
