Vinayaka- the Lord of all beings, Sri Ganesha is presented in this regal granite sculpture as a king, enthroned on a two-tiered platform, and placed on another lotus pedestal, giving the statue an iconic presence.

A little less than 3 feet, the sculpture is an ideal size for the ritual worship and establishment of Ganapati, adorned with all fortunate signs- Ekadanta form, trunk curving to his right, marking his aspect as “Siddhi Vinayaka”- a potent form in which all wishes are fulfilled and all desires are annihilated.

In Ganesha’s left hand, a twig from the Kalpavriksha or wish-fulfilling tree identifies this aspect also as “Kshipra-Prasada Ganapati”- he who gives swift boons, making this statue a powerful icon for the devotee who wishes to experience the quickness and benevolence of Ganesha’s grace.

Introducing the Majestic Four-Armed Ganapati

This exquisite 34-inch granite statue of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, is a testament to the artistry and devotion of Indian craftsmanship. Seated serenely on a lotus asana, the elephant-headed deity is depicted with four arms, each holding a symbolic object representing his multifaceted blessings and powers. The meticulous detail in the carving, from the gentle curves of his body to the intricate patterns on his garments, speaks volumes about the dedication of the sculptor. The cool, calming grey of the granite adds to the statue's serene aura, making it a powerful addition to any home or temple. The lotus throne, a symbol of purity and enlightenment, further elevates the statue’s spiritual significance.

The Mythology of Ganesha: Remover of Obstacles and God of Beginnings

Ganesha, son of Shiva and Parvati, is one of the most beloved and widely worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon. His elephant head symbolizes wisdom and insight, while his large belly represents his capacity to embrace all aspects of life. His four arms, each holding a different attribute, represent his mastery over different aspects of existence. Commonly depicted holding a modaka (sweet treat), a broken tusk, a goad and a rosary, the imagery of Ganesha embodies auspiciousness, good fortune and spiritual success. One of the most popular stories associated with Ganesha revolves around the creation of the epic Mahabharata. When Vyasa, the sage who composed the epic, found himself struggling to recall all that he had to write, he invoked Ganesha, requesting that the deity act as his scribe. Ganesha agreed but on the condition that Vyasa must continue dictating without pause. Thus, with Ganesha effortlessly recording everything, the Mahabharata, one of the world's longest epic poems, was completed.

The Significance of the Lotus Asana

Ganesha's seated position on the lotus flower adds another layer of spiritual meaning to this sculpture. The lotus, a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and rebirth across many Eastern cultures, is often associated with spiritual growth and overcoming challenges. Its ability to rise from muddy waters, unblemished and beautiful, reflects the ability to transcend worldly obstacles and reach spiritual illumination. Ganesha's placement on this sacred flower symbolizes his ability to guide devotees towards spiritual awakening and overcoming all forms of adversity. Choosing a Ganesha statue seated on a lotus asana invites the positive energy and spiritual strength associated with this divine combination.

A Work of Art and Devotion

This magnificent statue is more than just a decorative piece; it’s a powerful representation of faith and devotion. Crafted from high-quality granite, it is built to endure, a testament to both the enduring spirit of Lord Ganesha and the lasting artistry of the sculptor. Its impressive size, measuring 34 x 18 x 16 inches, commands attention and enhances the spiritual atmosphere of any space. The inherent strength of the granite material perfectly captures Ganesha's unwavering presence and his ability to overcome all obstacles, promising spiritual harmony and tranquility to your living space. Its enduring presence is designed to remind you of this spiritual meaning every day. Whether placed in your home temple or used for meditation, this statue embodies the spirit of serenity and the blessings of Ganesha.
