48" Large Wooden Devi Lakshmi & Devi Saraswati | Wall Panel

$1444
Includes any tariffs and taxes

A twin-Devi wall panel to add to the auspiciousness of your space. Directly above Devi Sarasvati, is Devi Lakshmi in this compact longline wood-carved panel. Both seated in lalitasana, with the opposite limb pendant for each. Giant lotus-shaped thrones and, of course, the Kirtimukham motif above the crown.

This twin Lakshmi-Sarasvati murti panel is carved from wood. The style and iconography are in keeping with the temple architecture of ancient South India. It is as if the Devis have emerged from the haloed vaults of a temple of yore, one presiding over plenitude (Lakshmi), the other over learning (Sarasvati).

An unassuming colour palette of pale, fluid pastels. These tones go best with the natural texture of the organic medium. Also, they are sure to go with a wide variety of interior colours, making this a versatile pick for your home or office walls.

Divine Embodiments: A Dual Goddess Wall Panel

This magnificent wooden wall panel is a testament to the rich artistic heritage and deep spiritual traditions of South India. It portrays two of the most revered goddesses in the Hindu pantheon, Lakshmi and Saraswati, in an exquisite, stacked composition. Carved from fine wood, this piece stands as a symbol of abundance, knowledge, and auspiciousness, bringing a divine presence to any space it adorns. The upper figure, Devi Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity, is depicted seated gracefully on a lotus flower. Her serene countenance and the gentle gestures of her hands, one holding a lotus bud, evoke a sense of calm and benevolence. In Hindu mythology, Lakshmi is often associated with the festival of Diwali, the festival of lights, where she is worshipped to invite wealth and good luck into homes. Her presence signifies material and spiritual prosperity, ensuring that those who venerate her are blessed with abundance. The intricate detailing of her attire and ornamentation speaks to the opulence and grandeur that she embodies.

The Harmonious Arts: Saraswati's Grace

Below Lakshmi, gracing the lower portion of the panel, is Devi Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom, and learning. She is also depicted seated on a lotus, a symbol of purity and enlightenment. In her hands, she delicately holds the Veena, her iconic musical instrument, signifying her mastery over melody and rhythm. Saraswati is the muse for artists, the patron of students, and the embodiment of intellectual pursuit. Tales of her intervention have inspired countless scholars and artists throughout history. Her peaceful demeanor and the artistic flair evident in her portrayal reflect the profound connection between creativity and divine grace. This panel, with its dual representation, offers a harmonious balance of material well-being and intellectual enrichment, a philosophy deeply ingrained in Indian culture. The wooden carving itself showcases exceptional craftsmanship, with each figure meticulously rendered, highlighting the skill and devotion of the artisan. The aged patina and subtle color accents add a timeless quality to the piece, making it a striking focal point that resonates with both aesthetic beauty and spiritual significance.

A Symbol of Auspicious Beginnings

The presence of both Lakshmi and Saraswati on a single panel is particularly auspicious. It represents the belief that true prosperity encompasses not only material wealth but also the wisdom and knowledge to utilize it constructively and the creativity to enrich life. This handcrafted masterpiece is more than just a decorative item; it is a conduit for blessings, inviting prosperity, wisdom, and artistic inspiration into your home or sanctuary. Its substantial size and commanding presence make it ideal for a prominent wall, where its divine aura can be fully appreciated.
