Goddess Lakshmi is a divine deity of the Hindu pantheon and is considered as the Goddess of good fortune, wealth and prosperity. She is the wife of Lord Vishnu and takes different forms with each of his incarnations. She is usually depicted as sitting on a lotus flower, clad in a red saree. She holds a lotus in two of her hands. The lower right hand is held in the Abhaya Mudra (assurance of freedom from fear) while the lower left-hand drops a cascade of gold coins.
