A miniature Kubera-Lakshmi ensemble to usher into your home affluence and well-being. Seated on an engraved continuous throne, these are the presiding deities of Hinduism over currency and resources, respectively.

Lord Kubera is seated with the mongoose, His vahana, in His lap. Devi Lakshmi is a finger’s width away, seated in lalitasana. Over the tapering crowns on their heads rises an ornately carved archway. The engravings starting from the body of the throne, all along the archway, are executed in perfect symmetry and hallmarks of authentic bronze workmanship of South India.

Speaking of workmanship, the bronzeworker’s skill is most discernible given the scale of the murtis. Despite the same, each detail of form and iconography has been introduced with a remarkable degree of precision.

Embrace Abundance with the Divine Couple of Wealth

Invite prosperity and good fortune into your home with this exquisite bronze statue depicting the revered deities Kubera and Lakshmi. This stunning piece, crafted from fine Panchaloha—an auspicious alloy of five metals—is a testament to traditional Indian artistry and deep spiritual significance. The intricate detailing and the radiant sheen of the bronze capture the divine essence of these powerful deities, making it a captivating centerpiece for any sacred space or altar.

The Guardians of Treasure and Fortune

Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and good fortune, is often depicted seated on a lotus, showering blessings upon her devotees. She is the consort of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, and her presence signifies material and spiritual abundance. Lakshmi is worshipped for wealth, success, and well-being, and her grace is sought by millions. Kubera, the king of the Yakshas and the god of wealth, is the treasurer of the gods and the ruler of the northern direction. Legend has it that Kubera was once a wealthy but greedy Brahmin who performed severe penances to gain wealth and power. Pleased with his devotion, Lord Brahma granted him immense riches and the position of the custodian of wealth. Kubera is often depicted with a pot-belly, a mace, and a pomegranate, symbolizing his control over riches. He is worshipped for material prosperity, financial stability, and the removal of obstacles in business. Together, Kubera and Lakshmi form a divine union that represents the dual aspects of wealth – Lakshmi bestowing fortune and Kubera managing and safeguarding it. Their combined presence is believed to invoke an unending flow of prosperity and material well-being. ––––––––––––––––––

Artistry and Symbolism

This statue portrays the divine pair seated gracefully within an ornate arch, a common motif in Indian temple architecture, symbolizing a sacred gateway or a divine canopy. The intricate carvings on the base and the archway reflect the skill of the artisans who meticulously brought this vision to life. The posture of Lakshmi, with her hand raised in abhaya mudra (fearlessness and blessing), and Kubera, holding a pot of riches, are classic representations that convey their protective and benevolent nature. The use of Panchaloha is not merely aesthetic; it is believed to possess spiritual properties that enhance the sanctity of the idol and amplify the blessings of the deities. This piece serves as a powerful reminder of the pursuit of righteous wealth and the importance of divine grace in achieving it. Displaying this statue is an act of reverence, inviting the blessings of Lakshmi and Kubera into your life.
