A Seat of Power

Crafted with meticulous detail from gleaming brass, this ornate throne provides a regal setting for your cherished deity statue. The intricate carvings and radiant finish elevate any sacred space, creating a focal point of devotion and artistic beauty. It serves not just as a platform, but as a statement of reverence, designed to enhance the presence of the divine figure it cradles. The weight and luster of the brass speak to its enduring quality, promising a timeless addition to your altar or collection. Every curve and etched line reflects the dedication of the artisans who poured their skill and devotion into its creation.

The Kirtimukha and the Serpent Guardians

The throne's design is rich with symbolic significance, drawing from deep wells of Hindu mythology and iconography. At its apex resides the Kirtimukha, the "Face of Glory." This guardian figure, often depicted as a fierce, lion-like visage, is believed to ward off negative energies and protect the sacred space it adorns. Legend tells of its origin from Shiva, who, angered by a demon sent against him, created the Kirtimukha with instructions to devour itself. Impressed by its unwavering obedience, Shiva declared that the Kirtimukha would forever be present at the entrances of temples, ensuring purity and driving away evil. Below the Kirtimukha, the intertwined serpents, or Nagas, are prominently featured. These sacred creatures are revered as guardians of treasure and symbols of fertility, protection, and immortality. Their presence on the throne reinforces the idea of safeguarding the deity residing within, creating a powerful layer of spiritual defense. The Nagas' association with water and the earth further connects the throne to the life-giving and sustaining forces of the universe, bestowing blessings upon the deity and the worshiper.

Handmade in India

Each throne is meticulously handcrafted in India, a land renowned for its rich tradition of brasswork and religious artistry. The creation of such pieces is a labor of love, passed down through generations of skilled artisans. Using time-honored techniques, these craftspeople transform raw brass into objects of remarkable beauty and spiritual significance. The slight variations and imperfections inherent in handmade work only enhance the throne’s unique character, making it a truly one-of-a-kind treasure. Placing a deity on this throne is not simply a matter of display; it is an act of connecting with a legacy of faith and artistry.
