This Peacock Oil Lamp in brass is a testament to the lampmakers' talent. The peacock motif in the crown makes this lamp popular as a Mayil Vilakku.  The chain is attached to the picture of a peacock, and beneath it is a Kindi Vilakku light. The pot-shaped body of the lamp also functions as an oil reservoir. The oil pot is used to refresh only one wick. This lamp has no spiritual significance and is mainly utilized as a decorative item.
