The mighty son of Shiva-Parvati born to annihilate Tarakasura and lead the army of the gods, Lord Murugan is a Hindu deity, who embodies the perfection of wisdom and power.

In this small brass icon, his divine form is represented- the Tripunda symbolizing his supreme wisdom and the Vel (weapon) marking his warrior aspect.

His face is exceptionally animated, adorned by the royal crown, globular earrings, and framed by jeweled necklaces. He wears a short dhoti, a chractersitc of warrior gods such as Hanuman.
