🔶Approach with Devotion: Always begin with a calm mind. It is advised to take a bath before cleaning to maintain personal purity.
🔶Use Natural, Sacred Substances: Traditional materials like lemon, tamarind, rock salt, ash (vibhuti), or cow dung ash are often used to clean brass and copper ritual items, respecting their sanctity.
🔶Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Synthetic cleaners may harm the spiritual integrity and metal quality of ritual objects. Stick to natural cleansing methods.
🔶Water Matters: Preferably use Gangajal (Ganges water), or filtered water mixed with turmeric or sandalwood, especially while cleaning items like Shiva Lingas or yantras.
🔶Dry with Care: After cleaning, gently wipe with a clean cotton cloth. Never leave sacred items wet or unkempt, as neglect is believed to reduce their potency.

Traditionally, brass and bronze are used for various ritual purposes. Copper, wood, and stone are also considered ritually fit materials, which are prescribed in ancient texts as a part of Puja and other auspicious processes.
The entrance gate should have a threshold, (wood or marble), and put a rangoli on the floor in front of the main door. The area around the main door should be clean. Avoid keeping a dustbin, broken stools, or chairs near the main gate. Decorate the main entrance with divine symbols like swastikas, ohm, crosses, and even flowers placed right outside the door.
