The present book is about devotee's devotion at the feet of Guru Yeshu. We are living in a most challenging season where people of all age groups are confused, and uncertainties are looming around. In this season of uncertainties, the Word of God motivates us to move forward as there are scores of men and women in the Holy Bible who went through different seasons in life.
The author brought out 150 valuable lessons starting from ""Nearer to Christ Matters"" to ""Every day is not a Mountain Experience."" These are lessons purely based on prayer and meditation. When the road seems to be closed, God opens the unexpected way in our lives. Moments are movements, for God is in control, and He will help us to overcome all hurdles in our lives. So, keep moving!

This book, ""At the Feet of Guru Yeshu: Devotee and Devotion,"" is a collection of lessons that I have learned at Jesus feet through prayer and meditation on the Word of God. In the World of uncertainties, the Word of God brings certainty Failure is part and parcel of life but not Final for those who seek Him.
Breaking experience is making and shaping moments and movements in life. When tears fall on the ground, a well of water opens even in the wilderness for the creator and liberator Guru Yeshu is the Way and He makes the way where there is no way.
I hope and believe that these 150 spiritual lessons received at the feet of Jesus will strengthen and motivate us to move forward amidst challenges in life.
I consider this as an honour to write a foreword to this important work that is published at a very significant milestone in the life and ministry of Rev. Dr. Shiju Mathew. Dr. Shiju Mathew is one of my long-term friends as we travelled together in our academic journey in Faith Theological Seminary, Kerala, and Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, Maharashtra, and now we are related through the integral connectivity between The United Theological College in Bengaluru and New Theological College in Dehradun. As a man hailed from a Christian background, Dr. Shiju Mathew worked hard over a period of 33 plus years to come to his current achievement. His achievements remind us that there is no substitute for hard work and patient endurance on the way to success.
I admire his benevolent hospitality, responsible nature, attitude of humbleness, and mentality of service on multifarious occasions in our friendship. All the above-mentioned virtues, alongside of his intellectual and academic engagements, brought him to the current position to contribute largely in the field of Biblical scholarship and spiritual-devotional engagements with the Bible. I congratulate him from the core of my heard upon this contribution and pray for his bright future ahead.
The reflections in the book demonstrate his expertise in the fields of Bible, exegetical engagements, and contemporary applications in the Indian and global scenario. In his interpretations, he paid significant emphasis on the cultural and ethnic aspects of the Scripture. His interpretation of the metaphors and imageries through that vantage point facilitates a fresh approach that facilitates a reader to go closer to the divine realities. Thus, Dr. Shiju's attempts to look at the Biblical texts with a contemporaneous approach to unlock the grand narratives and to inspire ordinary human emotions and pathos.
As God's faithfulness was upon Dr. Shiju during the last couple of decades, as he was a minister of God, a Biblical exegete, a committed interpreter, a committed leader, and a thinker and a pastor, I wish him all the best as he steps forward for his future involvements. Also, may God help his beloved family members to travel with him in the upcoming years.
