Book Description
About the Book
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is a samskritik body whose millions of committed swayamsevaks toil selflessly for the country's progress. Since its inception in 1925 by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the Sangh has been guided by the vision of building a strong and prosperous Bharat. Dr Hedgewar believed that the true strengthening of the country begins with the nurturing of individual character. Guided by the principle of 'country first', swayamsevaks serve in varied fields such as social upliftment, education, healthcare, labour, and public life, just to name a few. Their aim is to help shape a society free from exploitation and injustice, and strengthened by unity, equality, and harmony. After Dr Hedgewar, this mission was carried forward by the second Sarsanghchalak, Shri Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar, and continues under the leadership of the present Sarsanghchalak, Dr Mohanrao Bhagwat. The foundation of this book is grounded in his thoughts and vision. This volume brings together a series of Dr Bhagwat's speeches on a broad spectrum of topics: The Concept of Hindutva, Bharat's Glories, Destiny of our Country, Collective Upliftment, Opportunities for Development, The Perspective of Non-Violence, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Bharat's Future. Together, they shine a light on the principles that guide the Sangh's work. In his addresses, Dr Bhagwat often remarks: "To understand the Sangh is to understand Bharat." Through these pages, readers are encouraged to partake in that vision, consolidate the spirit of civilisational unity, and unite in the common resolve to bring forth a truly "Glorious Bharat."

Preface
Glorious Bharat is a collection of thought-provoking speeches delivered by Mohan Bhagwat, the present Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Drawing from various engagements across diverse locations, the book includes two insightful lectures given in Delhi during September 2018, along with a transcript of the subsequent Q&A session. This book brings clarity to the often-misunderstood RSS, offering a valuable exploration of its core principles. This book can be a transformative experience for those who approach it with an open mind. The Sangh: An Incomparable Analogy in the Social Sphere The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) stands as a one-of-a-kind entity in the social milieu. Its distinctive nature defies comparison to any other institution or group that exists across the globe. Imagine a figure of speech in literature with no equivalent, that is the Sangh in the world of organisations, a unique anuvaya (incomparable) analogy in the social sphere. This comparison, just like the Sangh, is unconventional and unique. There is simply nothing else like it. Reflect on this famous verse from the Valmiki Ramayana: The sky is like the sky, vast and unchanged, The ocean is like the ocean, waves still ranged, The battle between Rama and Ravana's might, Is like the battle between Rama and Ravana, in all its light.
