Gol Gumbaz postcards

Gol Gumbar Tomb was built in the 17th Century in Bijapur, Karnataka in the memory of Sultan Adil Shah This postcard, with its block printing element takes us back in time! The beauty of its architecture is captured in wooden blocks. The postcard is 916" in size.

Carved wooden blocks

The wooden printing blocks are made from seasoned wood such as sheesham or jamun, by trained craftsmen Designs are carved on the underside of the block and then soaked in oil for 10-15 days for seasoning In this kit 10 wooden blocks are provided with the carved architectural outlines of the tomb. These will help you block print the Monument on the postcards, by repeating a few block prints

Printing dyes

A type of dye that is commonly used in block printing is known as direct dye. In this kit we have provided poster colours for printing on paper, which are lead-free and safe for children.

Printing pad

The printing pad is the tray in which the printing dye is kept. In this kit sponge is provided, as a printing pad Dampen the sponge. Pour some colour on it Spread it. Dab the block on the sponge and print on card or paper.
