Kevin R. D. Shepherd is a British writer, born in 1950. His
early interest in Indian religion prompted his studies azrat Babajan, Shirdi
Sai Baba, and other Indian saints. In 1981, a twelve-year phase of private
research at Cambridge University Library was initiated, with an emphasis on the
history of religions and philosophy. He is the author of 12 books, including
Gurus Rediscovered (1986), Meher Baba, An Iranian Liberal (1988), Minds and
Sociocultures Vol. 1: Zoroastrianism and the Indian Religions (1995), and
Investigating the Sai Baba Movement (2005). He maintains 6 websites and the
blog feature Commentaries, offering information on varied subjects.
