Preface
The original Urdu version of this book was first published in 1950, when I was young and was teaching at a Darul Uloom. By Allah's grace, the book was well received in India as well as Pakistan. Later tens of its editions came out. Somebody published its English version from Kuwait. He had neither sought permission from me nor did he send a copy to me. The publisher remains anonymous to this day. A friend of mine who saw the English translation of my book sent me a copy as a compliment. He even pointed out that my name has been mistakenly suffixed with Nadvi on the title instead of Miftahi. However, I found the content and the addresses given therein accurate. One of my African Student who went through the book found the translation precise and Quent.
A few months before I had requested Dr. Mohd. Manzoor Alam, Chairman, Institute of Objective Studies, New Delhi, to arrange for its English translation in India which would serve a large audience. He lent a sympathetic ear to my request and conveyed his intention to publish the same. May Allah reward him. The Objective behind the publication of this book is to initiate reform in the society and to gain Allah's pleasure in the hereafter.
