Blessings of God have made me sensitive towards feelings.
It is His grace that has given me the power to read tears that roll down over the cheeks of helpless people of the country. He is kind enough to grant me the acumen to reach at the root of different problems that the common man of India is facing. The field work has given me an opportunity to meet different people belonging to varied groups across different castes and religions.
I feel gratitude towards Smt. Pushpa Srivastava, my sister, who has helped me in conceptualizing the book. Being herself a writer of repute, she encouraged me to write the book for the benefit of the common man. Several concepts crystallized during the course of discussion with her.
I am very thankful to Dr. Sabiha Mumtaz, my friend, who took pains in editing the book and giving an edge to the book. She discussed problems with me like a common man. This gave sharpness to my concepts.
I am also grateful to my family, friends and relatives who encouraged me in writing my concepts in the form of a book. I express my appreciation to the Pratibha Prakashan, New Delhi for accepting and publishing the book in a very short time.
My acknowledgment will not be complete without recognizing the contribution of my parents who could chisel humanity in me. It is on account of my parents that I became sensitive towards the needy and the deprived.
To the outside world India is known as a country of snake charmers, magicians and hermits. Even today we have very little to be proud of. We have led the world in the past. Nature has been benevolent to us and our spirituality has always been a sheen in the darkness, but my heart rends when I acknowledge how careless inheritors we have been to have squandered our rich traditions, knowledge and intellectual wealth in pursuit of alien fascinations.
I wonder what are pulling forces to this yesteryears' golden bird. Though the pinions unchained in 1947, the avigation has not been unhindered. Manifold enigmas are hampering India's stride. The impediments are not hard to find this time, unfortunately, the son's of the motherland are themselves responsible.
Is there a way out ???

I have a firm belief that an appropriate guidance and approach will transcend India from the bleak to the illuminated.
Dear readers, this book in the form of a discourse with the Saptarishi, the repository of knowledge, is a sincere attempt in this regard. Honest endeavours have been made in this dissertation to address distinctively the issues perturbing India of today.
Equanimity is rare today. Various social, economic, political and emotional complications are nibbling the peace of mind of Indians. The spiritual Guru of yesteryear's witnesses turmoil over fantasized and fabricated issues. Statesmen fail to produce a congenial atmosphere, Constitution backs many controversial issues, media cashes on sensationalisation, codification of law is incomprehensible for an average educated citizen, certain judicial measures in line with the colonial mindset pronounce justice, justice is delayed, procrastination of duties rule the day, unemployed youth tutored by unscrupulous people create law and order challenges, we fail to channelize this energy to boost our power, women are objectified and are made to believe that dignity lies in conforming to the diktats of the glamour world, political parties dole out gifts in the name of welfare thereby crippling the youth, a huge gulf exists between the rich and the poor, farmers commit suicide, sorry state of government run institutions, education being looked upon as a sole medium to make maximum money, multi-linguists turning out to be a bane, domestic tussle becoming the order of the day, the situation has dropped to a level where some areas are witnessing the rise of anti-national sentiments among the masses and above all illogic kills logic. This is an alarming situation!
It is high time now to replace the hackneyed measures and policies with the more rational ones. The panacea is an approach which is a perfect blend of the ancient and the modern with a logical approach.
Readers, this endeavour of mine is incomplete unless you reflect upon the discourse and convince at least one fellow Indian to go through it. That will be a real tribute to our motherland. May almighty convert these inscriptions into a tool that brings about a transformation. May the dissertation kindle a conflagration that brings about an ideological revolution in India and the third world countries.
