Howrah in collaboration with Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya. A large number of students and teachers have attended the seminar and exchanged their thoughts. Due to tremendous response of scholars, we have decided to publish a book containing selected papers. In contemporary education, the need to incorporate Indian Knowledge Systems is becoming increasingly evident. With globalization and technological advancements, there is a risk of cultural homogenization, where local traditions and knowledge systems may be overshadowed by dominant global narratives. It is important to promote diversity in thought, and to provide students with a more rounded education that includes indigenous perspectives. We should know more about Indian heritage and culture, and enrich us. Sämkhya and Yoga are two influential schools of thought in Indian Philosophy, offering insights into the nature of reality, human existence, and liberation. Their relevance extends beyond ancient India to modern times. Both philosophies aim to liberate individuals from suffering and they emphasize on understanding one's true nature. Both promote harmony. Sämkhya and Yoga philosophies offer timeless wisdom, influencing various aspects of modern life, from personal growth to global well-being.
