Preface

Nature is how God made everything. There is a divine design to everything! The word 'nature' draws us towards its enormity, beauty, utility, and interconnectedness. We marvel at the thought of being in nature. There must be a reason for us to feel uplifted and peaceful in nature-rich conditions. For most of us, the real reason eludes our comprehension. All we know is that it draws us back to calm our frazzled nerves.

We have witnessed, with awe and wonder, how nature has shaped the lives of millions of species over the ages. Millions of years ago, life was restricted to unicellular existence.

Gradually, these cells formed communities and, finally, grouped themselves intelligently into thinking forms, living in harmony. This harmony largely existed until we humans, the most intelligent part of nature's equation, got caught up in a mad chase for material gain. The fallout of this chase has taken its toll on a substantial part of the world's population over time, alongside the gradual degradation of nature's womb around our planet.

The mystery of nature stems from its seamless interconnectedness. For example, when we observe nature at play in a jungle, we cannot help but be astounded by the synchronistic intermingling and thriving of a vast ecosystem, which includes animals, birds, trees, algae, water bodies, and the role of climate on them all. While most of us are aware of and can relate to nature operating in automatic mode, our ego mind makes us believe that we are a towering superimposition on everything around us. This is the main reason why most of us disregard nature. We like to feel and enjoy its beauty with absolute insensitivity towards protecting or harnessing it.

In our entire construct of existence, particularly in urban settings, there is a colossal slip in our characterisation of nature. We tend to overlook that we humans are the most sophisticated life form of nature on Earth. We become victims of the narrative that nature is everything outside of us. There is, however, an inner world of nature. Our inner world consists of billions of cells intelligently formed into the various parts of our bodies and nurtured by streams of blood and water. Beyond the physical or visible body, multiple bodies comprise our existence. These bodies include our mental body, vital body, and most importantly, supramental body, which is also referred to as our soul in the realm of spirit. Much like the jungle example, our inner world has a lot of nature happening inside.

Introduction

Haven't we all imagined a fairy-tale world where everything is picture-perfect? A world full of happiness, love, and laughter-a place where we do what we desire and thrive. In this world, curiosity makes us experience every moment with a sense of wonder. It is a magical place where everything you imagine is achievable with a true heart. Here, people believe in the inherent goodness of humans and bring out the brightest and best versions of each other. There is purity, innocence, and play. We are fully in tune with our inner selves to make the most of the outer world. We are guided by our truest friend, intuition, which, in turn, is led by the invisible higher power.

Sanyaas is home to living a life of truth, consciousness, and bliss. On this path of living, we are true to our inner self and not misguided by the conditioning and pressure of the external world. We are conscious and living from the point of an observer of life, connected yet not enslaved by the physical confines of our bodies. This is an experience of bliss in every moment of everything. We are not torn about the past or worried about the future but are wholly invested in the present moment for what it is. Such is the body and structure of living the life of a sanyaasi.

The essence of a sanyaasi lies in the understanding of the truth about the immortality of the soul. It involves transcending the biggest fear of our lives-death. It is about knowing we will remain in the soul form even after our death. It is about knowing that the soul will reincarnate in a new body or a new life and that the soul's journey will continue until all our karmas from all births are resolved.

In this knowing, we experience true fearlessness. We start to observe life in the physical form from a distance and become unshakable at the level of the soul. We begin to experience life without boundaries or excessive susceptibility to any situation. We start to think and act from the mind of our Soul, the Soul Mind, as opposed to the mind of our body, the Body Mind.

Our soul loves bliss. The Soul Mind pushes us towards our true nature, influencing every dimension of our life, impacting our gravitation towards what we do, who we spend time with, what we eat, how we think, and even how we have sex. We start to experience the beauty of living every moment in bliss, and this becomes our default Setting.
