Dr. Siddharth R. Dawane is an Assistant Professor of History at Amity University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, specializing in the History of Ancient Indian Medicine. He completed his Ph.D. in History from SRTMU, Nanded, Maharashtra, India, focusing on "Sushruta's Medical Contribution in Ancient India-A Historical Study." Dr. Siddharth completed his Postgraduation and Graduation in History from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, Maharashtra, with first class and cleared the UGC NET examination. He secured a Minor Research Grant from the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi, in January 2024, and completed a Minor Research Project funded by the University of Mumbai in 2015-16. Dr. Siddharth has a total of 7 years of undergraduate and 4 years of postgraduate teaching experience and is recognized as a Post Graduate Teacher at the University of Mumbai and an approved faculty of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. He has published three textbooks, four research papers in UGC CARE-listed journals, and three chapters in a reputable national publication, and presented four research papers at national-level seminar conferences. He authored self-study material (SLM) for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses for the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, and Lovely Professional University. Dr. Siddharth is currently guiding four students in their Ph.D. studies and has served as an NAAC Coordinator at Kamaladevi College during the academic year 2016-17. He has also worked as a Vice- Principal and Head of the Department of History at Kamaladevi College, Vitthalwadi (Kalyan) and is an editorial board member of the ESN International Journal published in Tamil Nadu. Dr. Siddharth has organized a National Seminar in colleges and actively engages with the University of Mumbai as a paper setter and moderator.
