The purpose of writing Textbook of Rasashastra evam Bhaishajya Kalpana - Paper 1 (Ayurvediya Aushadhi Nirmana Vigyana) is to provide a comprehensive and accessible resource for the study of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, specifically tailored to the needs of students pursuing the Ayurvedacharya course. This book is an attempt to bridge the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with the contemporary understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, making it relevant and useful for today's learners and practitioners.
Rasashastra, the science of alchemy and mineral medicine, is a unique branch of Ayurveda, known for its fast-acting, potent formulations. It encompasses a deep understanding of the properties and therapeutic potential of metals, minerals, and gems, along with the complex processes involved in their purification and transformation. The preparation of these formulations demands not only technical skills but also a deep philosophical insight into the essence of these substances. This book has been meticulously written as per the syllabus prescribed for the 2nd year of the Ayurvedacharya course-as per the Competency-Based Ayurveda Medical Curriculum, according to New NCISM syllabus, with the aim of making the subject matter accessible and engaging for the student community across India. Our focus has been on clarity, precision, and practical relevance, ensuring that students gain a strong conceptual foundation in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana.
