The great Lord Narayan, another name of Vishnu of the Hindu trinity. Standing tall and stately, painted in the finest proportions of the masculine form. The pronounced musculature of wide-set shoulders, sharp angles of the waist, and full hips. Chaturbhujadhari, each bearing an element or a stance (mudra) in keeping with traditional Vaishnavite iconography.

Of traditional Vaishnavite iconography, the lotus is an integral part. A multitude of them blooms in the foreground. The golden petals of the lotuses resemble the complexion of the Lord who stands over them.

From His complexion to His attire and the elements He bears, this Lord Vishnu is seemingly carved of solid gold. There is a temple entrance structure along the upper edge of the canvas, painted exquisitely such as to replicate real architectural engravings. Splotches of Prussian blue and teal to set off the varied shade sof gold.
