13" Lord Krishna Standing with Flute

A traditional Krishna murti. Perfect for a modestly-sized altar or a corner of one’s tabletop. This is the tribhanga murari image of the Vrindavan cowherd: while ‘tribhanga’ implies that His form juts out (‘bhanga’) laterally at three (‘tri’) different junctures, ‘murari’ translates to the one with the flute (‘murali’).

This Krishna murti is sculpted from bronze. The tradition of sculpting with bronze, the medium of the elite amongst artisans, has been perfected in South India, from where it has been handpicked. Note the sheer wealth of detail embossed on the form of Krishna, of anatomy and adornment and expression, and the exquisite features of His face.

In addition to the above, the ornate pedestal beneath the Lord’s feet and the tall crown tapering high above His head are hallmarks of authentic, traditional South Indian workmanship.

The Enchanting Melody of the Divine

This exquisite bronze statue captures Lord Krishna in his most beloved form, poised and playing his enchanting flute. Crafted from high-quality bronze, a material steeped in tradition and considered sacred in many cultures, this piece stands as a testament to the enduring artistry and spiritual devotion of its creators. The intricate details, from the delicate folds of his garment to the serene expression on his face, evoke a sense of divine grace and timeless beauty.

A Timeless Representation of Devotion

Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, is revered across the Indian subcontinent and beyond as the god of compassion, tenderness, and love. His divine flute playing is central to his persona, a celestial melody that captivated the hearts and souls of all who heard it, from the simple cowherds and their cows in Vrindavan to the powerful warriors on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Legend tells of how the very air would shimmer with devotion when Krishna played, and the elements themselves would respond to his divine music. This statue, with Krishna holding his flute to his lips, immortalizes that very moment of ethereal charm and spiritual connection.

A Touch of the Sacred for Your Abode

The presence of Lord Krishna is believed to bring peace, harmony, and prosperity to any space. Whether placed in your home altar, meditation room, or as a distinguished decorative piece in your living area, this bronze statue serves as a constant reminder of divine love and spiritual solace. The lustrous sheen of the bronze, combined with the masterful craftsmanship, creates a piece that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also deeply resonant with spiritual energy. It is an ideal gift for those seeking to imbue their lives with a sense of divine presence and to honor one of Hinduism's most cherished deities.

Craftsmanship Rooted in Tradition

The use of bronze, particularly in the Panchaloha alloy traditionally used for sacred icons, signifies a deep respect for age-old practices. Panchaloha, meaning "five metals," is believed to imbue the idol with auspicious qualities. Each curve and contour of this statue is meticulously shaped by skilled artisans, reflecting a dedication to preserving traditional sculpting techniques passed down through generations. The result is a masterpiece that embodies both artistic excellence and profound spiritual significance, destined to be a treasured heirloom.
