See It In Your Home

Seated comfortably and royally on a long pillow, this brass statue depicts the king of Yakshas and god of all wealth known and unknown- Lord Kubera. Keeping him in your vault is considered immensely lucky in matters of money and business.

Near his left hand is an animal that one might mistake for a mouse, but it is a mongoose. Mongooses are animals who wander below the earth’s surface; hence they are related to hidden wealth. It is also a symbol of Kubera’s victory over the Nagas (snakes) who as a group are revered because of their knowledge of wealth stored underground. In many cultures, the mongoose is believed to spit gems out of his mouth. The pot that Lord Kubera is holding in his right hand is a vessel full of nectar (an intoxicating substance). This murti is made in Jain iconography style, which presents Kubera, the yaksha as a drunkard. The necklaces dangling from his neck, highlight the opulence and lavishness Lord Kubera is capable of bestowing upon those who worship him.

Embodiment of Wealth and Prosperity

This exquisite brass statue captures the benevolent form of Lord Kubera, the celestial treasurer and god of wealth in Hindu mythology. Lord Kubera is revered as the king of the Yakshas, a semi-divine race known for guarding earthly treasures. He is often depicted as a stout and jovial figure, adorned with rich jewelry, symbolizing his dominion over all forms of material riches. This meticulously crafted sculpture, emanating a warm golden sheen, is a testament to the artisanal skill of Indian craftsmen. The intricate detailing, from the divine ornamentation gracing his body to the serene expression on his face, invites contemplation and reverence.

A Divine Patron of Fortune

The lore surrounding Lord Kubera is rich with tales of his immense wealth and his role in dispensing it. According to tradition, he was once a greedy Brahmin who performed severe penance to Lord Brahma, who in turn granted him the position of treasurer of the gods and an eternal, resplendent kingdom called Alaka. It is believed that by worshipping Lord Kubera, devotees can invoke his blessings for financial stability, abundance, and success in their endeavors. This brass statue serves as a potent symbol for attracting wealth and auspiciousness into one's life and dwelling.

Artistry Rooted in Tradition

Each aspect of this Lord Kubera statue reflects a deep understanding of iconography and a commitment to traditional craftsmanship. The medium of brass itself is highly valued in Indian art and religious practices, known for its durability and its ability to be cast and shaped into intricate forms. The handmade nature of this piece ensures that it carries a unique character, a touch of human artistry that cannot be replicated by mass production. Placed in your home or office, this divine representation of wealth can serve as a constant reminder of the virtues associated with prosperity, such as generosity, diligence, and gratitude. It is more than just an object; it is a conduit for positive energy and a symbol of enduring faith.
