Ranjit Sarkar

Ranjit Sarkar is an artist who draws inspiration from various sources, such as Rabindranath Tagore and Guru Dutt, and his childhood experiences. He has a particular interest in representing women in his paintings to celebrate and remember the women who influenced him while growing up.

Sarkar's medium of choice is acrylic, and he uses a mix of realism and his own perspective to create intricate paintings. Dance, especially Kathaputli, Kalbeliya, and Dandia, is a significant theme in his art, as he finds the energy and joyfulness of the dancers inspiring. Sarkar is aiming to achieve a balance between impressionism and realism in his future projects. He has completed his studies in the Indian style of painting at Chandpara Art College and a Diploma in Painting from Hyderabad. His artworks reflect the vibrancy and liveliness of Indian mythology, culture, and history.
