Book Description
About the Book
The Navamsa chart (D9) in Vedic astrology is the most important divisional chart as per all of our revered sage astrologers and modern masters. Virtually no practicing astrologer makes predictions on clients without looking at the D9 for any arena of a person's life. However, the irony is that there are only a handful of modern Vedic astrology books that are dedicated on the D9. given the huge importance of this topic - leave alone a book targeted for students of Parashari astrology. As per a survey, most students find it daunting to read both the Di and D9 charts together while making jyotish assessments. This first-of-its kind textbook, addressed mainly for students (the beginner or the advanced), solves this problem and takes a direct approach to lay down in the simplest, logical, and practically illustrative flavor the conceptual, usage, and predictive elements of the Navamsa chart with 50 worked out examples. The book also consists of 36 unsolved examples for discussion in classroom environments between students and faculty. The textbook takes the reader on a beautiful and easy do-it-yourself (DIY) journey to predict life events using a necessary combination of the D1 and the D9 charts.

Foreword
Interest in jyotisha or astrology has been growing in leaps and bounds with highly qualified enthusiasts making a beeline to study the subject methodically, and in addition, share their understanding of this science. The trend for such a happening began with the Father of Modern Astrology Dr. B. V. Raman's books on just about every aspect of astrology taking it to the educated public. It is to this trend that the academically highly qualified author Dr. Ranjan Pal has contributed his understanding of Navamsa, a subject that has so far not received the treatment it rightly deserves. The importance of Navamsa is evident from its inclusion in any horoscope alongside the Rasi chart. The present work, therefore, may be said to do yeoman's service to the cause of jyotisha and opening new vistas in the understanding of this (probably the most important) varga chart. Case studies that are included in this title are a lesson in practical application of the Navamsa.
