About The Book

"SHIVAYAN reflects deep devotion, rigorous research, and intellectual honesty. By presenting Shiva's truth with clarity and courage, this work aims to restore our understanding of Mahadev beyond distorted narratives. I congratulate the author for undertaking such such a meaningful endeavor and look forward to the awakening and awareness this book will bring among readers.

Introduction

This book is dedicated to Bhagwan Mahadev's devotees, especially those who blindly follow the folklore portrayed about Mahadev in mainstream media and television serials. These serials and media houses often twist stories for TRP and monetary gain. The history of Bhagwan Shankar is vast and profound. A single book or even two will never be sufficient if one truly wishes to understand Mahadev's history and his legacy. His history is scattered across a wide range of scriptures, including the 18 Puranas, Up-Puranas, the Itihaas (Ramayan and Mahabharat), as well as the Shruti and Smriti texts. In this book, I have compiled authentic and concise information about Mahadev, focusing especially on topics that have been misunderstood or misrepresented. Each topic is supported with proper scriptural references. I also dedicate this book to those who harbor hatred for Mahadev and have illegally occupied regions historically associated with him. I will present both scientific and scriptural evidence, including from the scriptures revered by Mahadev's detractors as well as from Hindu texts, to establish the truth. Kashi, the beloved abode of Bhagwan Shiv (Shiva), has been awaiting justice for decades. Both scientific and  scriptural evidence confirm that it was once a temple (Mandir) dedicated to Mahadev, yet justice has not been served. Similarly, ancient scriptures also provide strong evidence that Mecca was originally a Mahadev temple (Mandir), known as macceshwar Mahadev, I have provided ample references from Hindu scriptures on this subject. It is high time we begin an open and honest discussion around this matter. topics that many readers may be unfamiliar with for This book explores a diverse range of lesser-known example, Bhagwan Shiva's advice to drunkards and drug addicts. Today, many people consume alcohol and drugs in Mahadev's name, believing it to be an act of devotion, However, there is no such practice mentioned in the Puranas. In fact, Bhagwan Shiv has strongly advised against such habits. I've provided relevant references from the Mahabharat to support this point. A common misconception is that the day of Maha Shivratri marks the Vivah (wedding) of Mata Parvati and Bhagwan Shankar. This is not true; the actual story is entirely different, and I have explained it in detail with proper scriptural sources. The real origins of the Kanwar Yatra are also rarely known and certainly not found on Google. This book presents its true story, backed by scriptures. While we all worship Bhagwan Shiv during the month of Shravan, very few know that it was actually Bhagwan Krishn (Krishna) who initiated the tradition of fasting on Shravan Somvars (Mondays). There are differing opinions on whether Bhagwan Shiva's Prasad should be consumed or not. I've explored both viewpoints in this book with references to help readers come to an informed understanding. Many people aspire to understand economics or become successful economists. Who could be a better economist than Bhagwan Mahadev himself? He is, in many ways, the father of economics. I have written about this in detail, supported by scriptural references. Tantra is an important part of Sanatan Dharma, especially in Kalyug. Scriptures state that for fulfilling materialistic desires, the path of Tantra is often essential. Therefore, I have included a concise yet clear explanation of Tantra in this book.
