This exquisite bronze statue captures the formidable and awe-inspiring Varaha, the third avatar of Lord Vishnu. With his immense strength and powerful tusks, Varaha lifted the Earth from the ocean's abyss, triumphantly placing it back in its rightful position. Crafted from Panchaloha, a sacred alloy of five metals traditionally used in South Indian temple sculptures, this statue possesses a rich patina and an enduring quality. The artisans of Swamimalai, a renowned center for traditional bronze casting in Tamil Nadu, have meticulously sculpted this piece. Their mastery is evident in every detail: the powerful stance of the divine boar, the intricate adornments on its crown and body, and the serene yet resolute expression.
