The Embodiment of Compassion

Within the vast pantheon of Buddhist deities, Tara shines as a beacon of compassion and swift assistance. She is revered as the "Mother of all Buddhas," embodying the feminine principle of wisdom and active compassion. Of her many forms, Green Tara is particularly beloved for her readiness to aid those in distress, acting quickly to alleviate suffering. Depicted in a posture of ease and accessibility, she symbolizes her constant vigilance and willingness to step down from her lotus throne to help those in need. Her right hand is often extended in the Varada Mudra, the gesture of granting wishes and blessings, while her left hand holds the stem of a lotus flower, symbolizing purity and enlightenment.

Auspicious Symbolism and Iconography

This meticulously crafted representation captures the essence of Green Tara's iconography. Seated in the Lalitasana pose, a posture of royal ease, she embodies both tranquility and readiness. Her right leg is slightly extended, signifying her readiness to spring into action to aid those who call upon her. The intricate details adorning her form – the elaborate jewelry, the flowing garments, and the serene expression – are all significant elements in Buddhist art. Each detail serves not only to beautify the image but also to convey profound spiritual meanings. The lotus she often holds represents purity, spiritual awakening, and the potential for enlightenment that resides within all beings. The brass medium lends a lustrous quality to the image, reflecting light and creating an aura of divine presence.

A Handcrafted Treasure

Each curve and contour of this exquisite sculpture has been carefully shaped and refined, showcasing the artisan's devotion and expertise. The traditional lost-wax casting method, a testament to ancient Indian craftsmanship, ensures that each piece is unique and possesses a character all its own. Minute details, from the delicate folds of her robes to the intricate patterns on her jewelry, are rendered with remarkable precision. This attention to detail transforms a simple piece of metal into a sacred object, imbued with spiritual significance and artistic merit. Skilled hands in India brought this brass statue to life through an intense creative process. The legacy of generations of artistry is reflected in the smooth finish and meticulous craftsmanship.

Inviting Blessings and Tranquility

Whether gracing a meditation space, adorning a bookshelf, or presented as a cherished gift, this representation of Green Tara serves as a potent reminder of compassion and the boundless potential for inner peace. Her presence fosters a sense of calm and serenity, reminding us to cultivate kindness and empathy in our daily lives. Invite the blessings of Green Tara into your home and create a sanctuary of peace and positive energy. Let her serene gaze inspire you to embody compassion, extend a helping hand, and cultivate a heart filled with loving-kindness.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
